The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:

1 A5 g2 w9 A2 g G* m8 [· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.

1 x+ _9 [& u0 L9 a0 r4 g· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.

· Working with other operational areas in maintaining an ever evolving desktop support model.; }& H, N# Z0 \# w' @
4 j7 W4 D* U$ Q1 J, R2 H· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.7 A3 c/ n) y1 b5 f1 ]- j# b! P/ b

· Establishing standards, procedures and documentation for the Desktop Support area.

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution.

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.

33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

SALARY RANGE:+ P* l4 P2 {% k
* V7 d6 H8 O: p0 V$ c* R0 l21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
