Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

& Y$ S  O7 O) y) {. a* yKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
( ?1 M; q1 L$ s* _+ |        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
1 x6 {' N' U- o9 S        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

3 ?; t7 c7 |' z- @2 t0 K" ?6 zQUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
" B3 ]& j; \' x8 Y6 G8 o4 v+ o•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
8 P) j9 p) K# u& r•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
7 e: R( L+ M' P3 ^5 b+ |4 v•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
