Salary:         $40,462 - $56,410 per year, depending on education and experience.

Recruit Participants

$ I& Z/ \  o* K# ?-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
, N3 \" r* a- `6 D-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

0 R4 E% ~7 H1 C: U2 ^Organize Leadership Training Sessions
6 y$ {: y1 J* A2 \8 K-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
/ H4 l; t! m9 d- g; ^" G5 r$ c-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
# b; Y* N; J' u, F9 e- E& Z# G-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas
* S  h+ I/ D: ^1 f; K9 `  }. ~" P- J: a' i; }% N! o4 Y5 X: T
Plan and Facilitate identified public events1 V& Y% D0 P! E" `
-        with youth participants6 X# L6 E* x1 X: j! g" O

-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project0 K- g, {2 i5 {0 @& ~" G# w1 x& z

2 d4 {- M* D$ w* i5 O-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
8 m, m3 ^; Q2 F4 L2 L, H-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations" f3 U& X" F& _1 N$ W

-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.% c9 t& w" c4 p2 U8 ~

-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project. ' o3 v/ g$ |* |$ M
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
. n- z5 c3 o5 E4 B) L1 ]-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder2 r9 U4 z; w# f/ l6 m

-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation) v  j' p$ B* _/ F' s  l+ G  t! e# V- `* h
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model
! y  e# `$ r% M3 T9 O
# s' u- n" d) n- s1 o* ]$ m% S3 a4 Z* T& }6 w( R5 Z0 W: m
Qualifications for this Position
2 R( G; f& q4 `( C* |/ p- x  b9 p7 m* X
-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
0 P4 D) q. D( H" h1 D  p7 K6 O-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
  Z9 L6 y& Q* b8 J- X! _0 ^-        experience with project coordination
4 V9 ?+ C9 d/ u, W0 k-        degree or diploma in human services field) ?9 Z8 ]7 W8 Q. s' U4 [
-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts; P" l4 l# ?/ G* |1 _
