Position: Program Manager / Terms: Full-time / Salary: $40,493 - $61,945/ yr, with pension & benefit package / Hours: 35 hrs week, some evenings-weekends / Start date: 06.01.10 / Closing Date: 05.13.10. % K! R2 ~0 n* R* E

Areas of Responsibility+ |+ g; R7 k% ?0 D; k
% n; s, u9 \: s' BFinancial / Budget & Payroll: monitor time-sheets for staff; create yearly budget for program to be approved by executive director; make changes to budget as needed; regular reports to executive director on budget/spending; Supervise Staff – ensure timely planning of future funding takes place; monitor 4–6 staff personnel & program progress; communicate with all project funders; monitor evaluation of program.

# Q# K3 F$ X0 c( A. fReports to Funders: ensure all staff submits timely reports including evaluation of their programs; Manager completes financial report in consultation with accountant; Maintain files for each program for each funder of the program; Report to executive director on proposals and report submissions to each funder for each program.- t7 x$ a3 T: v' U0 x
2 I" J' n/ l9 ?* PWork with Partners/Public: answer queries and concerns from partners and public; ensure partners are well informed of program status. Annual Report – create annual report on all activities of the program prior to Annual General Meeting. Professional Development – Be informed on current issues on race relations and youth leadership training. q$ X6 n% M$ V( Z& z
. `8 a5 G A6 z; Y& H0 WProposal Creation: write or supervise writing of all proposals to all funders of programs; Ensure communication with funding representative is adequate; Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal.

4 I8 C6 Y+ E8 f4 X6 j ~0 o; ]0 SKey Qualifications: Good knowledge of an Aboriginal or central African culture/ language; Excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society as it applies to Aboriginal people and/ or African immigrants/refugees, and the formal education system; Experience working with Aboriginal and/or African communities. Experience facilitating workshops; Knowledge of the issues facing high-risk racialized youth & experience working on skill development with youth

PLUS: Knowledge/experience with youth leadership training; Personnel management experience; Computer skills in information management, communication/spreadsheets.
