) x$ p) N- S8 b• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 5 V# ?: h* L, W3 r
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
, r( C* }. n6 _the Board of Directors; , T- K5 p7 k8 D. n9 d" t
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 7 c4 W# l- u: ~7 ?% L
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to ) i% j9 X" ^& x+ l6 y2 M; w
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

! o4 d/ C$ S, _ Vobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

* H' p1 v+ V- b6 u8 I• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
$ x+ K/ d, [8 N, A" Y• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 1 A* m7 O' I2 n4 p1 {
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; * L) C* Z& b( \! A( I' k. l: d
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
. u" a9 r7 L+ ]5 Tchanging needs of the organization and community;
5 j/ k5 z; d0 @* V• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue / x7 h. g: \3 D+ y/ [1 S$ E
commitments;
. B7 B$ \" b9 `" {' e( J+ d• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 2 x4 j9 W# {6 t7 J# d- L4 T" H) R, w
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
4 N1 U/ V) [4 S" b: ]3 `. Pselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
/ G3 J! F, t9 X' k9 M; N1 m• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

effectively and positively represent the association;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
6 g2 }$ q! W$ Y$ h' U9 C' @5 r& |the implementation of systems to manage these risks; ; F. q. f4 b' V% F
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
5 v) \2 J% ^: X" k$ K i5 [% u3 tperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
1 u& g _& R8 B1 ]! u& [$ [2 pthe forthcoming year;
( W# Q( b8 i3 L3 B! i2 _& x• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical ( ?1 ~& |6 y7 e* [6 q0 y) q
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of + X& \& W N1 S2 P$ R9 K

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

Required Professional Designation / Certification

Required Experience
9 Q' k. t2 }, M' q: z: L• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; # ]- b+ E% h4 b3 e( d, X
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 3 i5 \) {" a6 y% s. I) b" ^
