# `) J4 f' v, H. `: l& O• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 2 Z: G, a& H4 Z( w6 Q; v
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by 1 m+ N( y2 Q8 Y" ~4 a
the Board of Directors; 5 M8 Y9 @) t! }) b+ K. u& A6 k0 Q# r
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 4 l- H) l5 @7 k" Y0 ]
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to
+ q- E( ^; h- [4 |8 \2 Z/ L/ aenable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; - s3 Y M+ W) p1 x
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
; h4 g4 [! _- z) J5 x8 }objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
$ J* g; H0 u+ J' ?: ?• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion " c2 r) C0 d' d& z! x( W: W
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; ) p* [" P* D, U( H: s' ^0 Z
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 2 T: f: U2 W# q5 u2 D
changing needs of the organization and community; 0 `6 C8 C6 t% b4 ^! n4 w) r; S
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 4 f T2 h5 b7 s4 Y' ~' T/ k9 @
commitments; ( c' E4 R4 G: r( ~' a/ l" p, `8 r
• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
! [/ |! D; j& r2 S0 x+ |• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective , I0 ?4 @# ^ [) D; m. F6 V: m9 y
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 9 h6 M$ U# K* R8 i
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; , S' l# ~, q! A/ v! S3 B5 ~
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to 3 Z& ?! X' w ~3 u. x; K7 L: \
effectively and positively represent the association;

: g* l+ p* [5 ]8 E8 z' B• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring - i' ?& r6 j: Y2 {$ o/ q+ k
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
( V3 Y% k$ X, E+ i" N: J8 _• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal + _ p" x& s+ f
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
$ q4 v& N; T: I0 D; u7 `/ _, ~practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of
! B7 L0 E6 U4 |: V7 ~4 NYWCA Canada; and
6 C4 c O! ]& ]' x" y7 Z• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;
" Z6 e. @" I2 c/ s• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
) W9 k2 Q& U- @! @abilities; 6 b1 {! j, s! H8 \ j. y! S
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, 4 l# l4 e6 X- j8 y& V
Networking and Fundraising;
# u; N4 \4 f9 g/ S7 j Y, i• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
, `: b/ ~# E+ S; E4 t0 yand financial statements; and
