The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.7 J; ~) \/ r9 [" M5 k7 t& i8 b! L

Responsibilities:
; x" {* s) c* x1 _9 ]2 G§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers# N: D1 H5 Q9 p9 f' _
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
5 ]! N3 L5 P  N( ]§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
# ^6 `' h' d  P9 x- x; d§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
* {* Z7 x: \, s" \§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk9 W7 [; `! y2 c# R, Q
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert# W9 q1 y4 ?' j0 ^: _/ Y! P
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties; L/ _+ C, K$ I) \
§ Special projects as required

4 E" a. Z0 p( V8 J$ Y! `- f1 U# H§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
6 f9 c1 _% j7 Q8 |7 Q§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision2 [+ A" d/ o; _: n! I6 t0 M7 z
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware7 k; d! |  l4 a0 s8 U& Q
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software. p& x: s7 V  [) |# o& o
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems/ l5 d! k6 H2 J- J( c' m) G+ [; x* p

Position Summary:
4 h6 j* ^4 E! ~  O8 `, _+ ~The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). " U$ g  Q4 |6 a. [# g( m" t

Responsibilities:
  T: M# z1 A+ V2 M! X§ Manage a stable local IT environment   O! J" }1 j, ?, d: {1 ]
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
8 Z% W5 v9 s/ Q( r2 d4 V) j§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
7 X- @" |- r: b5 n" d0 w( Y§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives  T* U- @6 V! l, Q( n( ^
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
5 d/ o) \% ~8 X/ v3 J9 ]§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation/ g) ?1 [& i, ^; L# j' y* N8 g, d
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
! T8 y9 l% E2 h& _& I§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
1 E5 p! b3 m, G% T) b* @§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
& A% |2 R  j. E% m4 u; t§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
: W* v  {3 ^3 X§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
/ R7 t& |+ g4 s% S§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
1 i# ]4 c6 L! A& f% _7 o§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

" \" i2 k+ k% q3 X. {% v1 G1 c4 ~§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
8 Q* e9 b' n- {, [8 \4 U/ S0 R§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT

§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance; W" z4 A; \; h: a) U  C* W
§ Manage all printers in the building

Qualifications:
' T4 h1 `& n, w% Y" U9 ~  [§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 5 years related work experience

, m0 X6 W) R/ B# j§ Able to manage a local IT environment while working within a Corporate IT structure at a national level

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
