                   Summer Job Opportunity for
      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

  c- O( C" a& n, j: g, IResponsibilities:
-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
-        Budgeting and record keeping
% y( b* p5 b. G# S2 q' j5 W( d-        Provide orientation for parents
-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
( V4 v2 j# h: ?+ |4 n! x-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
0 h4 E% l2 ?( N2 }: Y-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
9 j( _5 T3 x8 R9 B" B  N' R' E5 u$ R; G-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
2 z# p$ i$ B; o9 R3 s6 I-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

-        Have current first aid certificate

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)

Salary
$ Y$ k: i9 u7 j5 R+ l-        $15 per hour
