Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
9 C' B, l2 W; @# ^7 D) p: I/ u4 ` After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.. {3 Z' q8 n0 Z: j
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
& ^3 D" O/ P1 ^) L5 x! a5 V8 wThe problem should be inside the bucket.1 x6 O) d5 X) m* y! {5 {! P

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.+ P% k6 w) u- y
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
0 n% _" w. {8 eConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.

- ` s& |' r! `/ hThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.4 A+ Y/ v8 h8 d5 q# ?; B
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.! U' Z& @ I. X9 o
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. ! S0 L* a1 b7 @% o
7 P- f6 m( o4 [* jThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. ! H# E ?8 M( v& [# k1 Z9 `
