Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:3 c s7 \- X; {: \- v& N0 f: w0 w9 G4 I
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. + p }+ W- n9 m" i
It is a cycle.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.5 ?5 y+ \& c/ O4 O
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.7 l" ]! L# l3 `4 |: ~3 j! d
The problem should be inside the bucket.: U. q/ k% V( V6 |4 P

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.0 {8 I7 i7 E# g1 ~( X
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
, s6 J$ [2 \* \ x: xConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.$ D$ ]0 [/ s9 C2 l4 X0 G% N
' s- j3 Z$ A! j4 n: ~3 ]( rThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
) H/ s) T' j5 H0 A8 u. n5 A5 {3 S$ I, PThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
* @$ `0 u9 Q$ [0 V It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. & }5 y: H& R6 L7 Z# x4 d

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
