Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
& B3 d: D, W( v) m; g& i After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.
& L/ _+ x" F# J4 h, FIt is a cycle.: k" j; _ A* |( I* e
1 C9 @. q, n* ]9 d' iWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains. v) f$ @8 n- i" m2 P) Z/ S* D$ m0 |
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.3 l8 B( l) p- D
The problem should be inside the bucket.

5 V& p+ K8 B1 M p3 fWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
: m. O x& X% S+ X: a; NUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
: ^( Q3 @3 y4 ]- [' S9 j: eConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.7 [ t: i: M7 Z4 i' }
* K6 J# A, U- y4 f5 e. z2 W! |The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
9 P5 s3 C( o. ]$ w: c/ I& K1 t OThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.# g( P: O! m! Q, @9 L1 k4 {# R
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
