Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:! C `+ ~2 @* X
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
% Y0 U" n& j+ l6 r; vSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.7 i( N/ |, h* [4 R3 ]2 L
Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
6 r( e T, |- g8 p6 f& s% f( SConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.. A6 c x* P2 `9 J" l
7 I, K) \5 }& G" ]$ T7 w, UThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
. j% N F W: w1 D$ PThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.
' r& ~0 q. Y$ L: G% l It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working. 5 v8 _$ F: E" _8 H+ j: V
) L; ]4 `8 E0 E( h5 e) MThe coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them. ( T4 Y- y7 @* _/ d! z, e6 V
