Responsibilities
8 W- p3 ^9 v# w' o/ \5 G0 jAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
; \) z3 E: D8 }$ J: WWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
- n  p- X$ c3 [# p1 aMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
6 t. p: }4 n$ zMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.

! s1 f; V' r+ O. L2 o4 x5 c; L, IMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
7 h( T0 g+ q: T# @0 u+ cAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
