Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.
Closing Date: Open until a suitable candidate is found.


Responsibilities:
* v4 f4 S. i$ N7 U! f5 ?-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
: M' b9 a( L. h-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
& C+ ~5 g4 p7 o7 m-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
9 f, N2 w$ ?  [" \0 S4 a' y-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

% I2 g4 O, h/ c6 R4 y8 tKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
! W! W1 p. I5 O" D5 O4 n-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
7 R9 a$ l& o7 _+ d8 m-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

. P7 m- }+ y$ C# t0 _Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
! @3 U5 ?0 h1 z) l. c& {-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
