Responsibilities:
* v4 f4 S. i$ N7 U! f5 ?- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
: M' b9 a( L. h- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
& C+ ~5 g4 p7 o7 m- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
9 f, N2 w$ ? [" \0 S4 a' y- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs3 P) |% s- D4 z3 K T- E
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

% I2 g4 O, h/ c6 R4 y8 tKey Qualifications:6 y1 F4 v" L6 v" C5 g. v. H
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences4 s# @. n8 }! x) H% m. K& H
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement5 {* ^5 t# w1 r0 A9 r4 Q% w
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others" f- P& |2 ]. P5 |
- Experience doing program development2 M3 n6 H. z' C1 k& h/ ^
- Strong organizational and coordination skills9 E( h( M( X e i
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
! W! W1 p. I5 O" D5 O4 n- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation

- Skills in marketing & promotions
