Responsibilities:
0 d1 [* }/ ~+ ?) P- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth* K3 y0 X2 D! L# o- k
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling: r, d, ]' \2 B! ~2 z5 ?+ J
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
# ^% D3 e3 b3 Y6 D3 l5 \( Y; _9 @- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
, r; o" I8 r# i, V- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

# j1 {7 v" O: K! @Key Qualifications:+ I2 i# f& |: u& p' a4 H! H
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
) a6 |. V& @ }) A3 `2 @- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
% l8 }* Q C: r- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
$ z' ^" h9 y7 B% y9 A6 o# W- Experience doing program development: t& G5 w5 l- m8 ~; M. Q1 b
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
+ J: }8 o& o" x, H- Self-directed and able to take initiative# ^/ R0 i7 T/ s
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset6 Z+ b$ _2 \7 L; [: T! Z
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
