Responsibilities:7 _3 M }9 o$ {' m2 l6 ]
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
* Z8 u- ~ |8 R! `; v- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling$ w- b. V+ p; ` J/ Q
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups3 B% ^7 T% C9 {4 k
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
7 Z" r. j, \. A6 B8 `- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health% S t* |& s! |/ @8 o: V

9 W# s6 l7 G4 |Key Qualifications:
. S2 r4 Y1 v& \4 g5 C- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
# V$ \! O7 T, `$ l5 B/ q8 W- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement2 p# w- j# F7 Z$ n6 y) B
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others; f C- y8 \$ g. ~
- Experience doing program development
. f; w8 m* i( ]( d- Strong organizational and coordination skills9 A0 E3 y D, o
- Self-directed and able to take initiative" z; E- f: _/ y. m9 j
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
7 t! z, \* `' s- H! e- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license+ z& }; g; a6 G, I, \/ T; p

- Skills in marketing & promotions/ L8 u3 V( i3 A1 R
- Some evening and weekend work may be required
