Position Title: Outreach Worker

2 ]. D; g% }) o1 Q-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
& ?3 r  h$ J$ R7 @-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
8 l# r+ M0 j! \2 p, z* S-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
1 w# e0 H5 G  f3 V-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
# L: M( b5 t* {# P" X2 @: Q7 M-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
5 \. q7 N: n% D" h! L7 s0 x-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
3 q: h3 X1 X* ]-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-        other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  n: ?0 E) E$ ?-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
+ F, _& d" D/ D1 i/ \* Y$ p! k5 S. {-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
! v- I7 O8 z  u' W; v. G. C-        fluent in English and Chinese
-        good interpersonal and people skills
-        valid driver’s license
