Field Operator - Balzac

& v' M/ J: c7 s* K; S The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
% S( r7 U/ m2 n" r% A( s! ~+ C$ V -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
6 h% a* i, T) }1 r: R-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
; b' T- t1 e) `-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
+ u" [; M  y9 b7 L( }0 N-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

3 _3 q- U7 _: Y; J4 D Education/Experience  
% q: w/ @, Y6 ~- m% v. u  u3 F - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
/ V8 _% n# O# V5 l6 T-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
) c5 ]: O$ ?5 Z- W0 t( G3 e-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
( d# o7 l+ K) X# w/ `+ A0 W; x-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
* H" }, R2 b7 `* _$ W0 v5 C  C-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
& Y+ r7 u2 Z1 R/ B8 J-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
