THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
" h2 U1 C9 u+ Y. qEligibility Criteria
' u6 E/ W: g: P9 X: P5 {! K: |All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
, m! W" W+ \% H2 t•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
  J' Y* `; R+ I# q•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
3 g8 [+ N2 F; F; `9 b) R3 s# M9 y6 @/ ], F•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
* [# x2 k( V/ P& g: r  U•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
: M! q9 `$ e/ O% r) ]! k6 X6 i3 G& HThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
