4 ?' [: q$ ~# F! y  D2 jThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
' a9 T- h/ T# H$ |) ZEligibility Criteria
9 u9 ~, Z5 O4 ~: bAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
6 M; g2 r6 D2 `7 c•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
; o2 Y# k% D) Z& m! H•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

Time Commitment
: N& T# y: ]8 u  WThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
