THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
' f! C7 W' w1 j/ j9 q. t) V+ f24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
! e$ w( I+ t+ ~Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
) `4 V4 ]+ R& z/ m+ h$ h+ T•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
7 L' V# \2 x/ t/ F•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
6 k3 u5 M  }% B3 ]: l- k•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
6 w/ H; r# `$ D6 {  }•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

% ~* s7 H% i# x# K8 u•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
% v! |5 \$ n1 S1 N) ]Time Commitment
$ W9 f- B/ \; C! yThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
