Change for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

4 Z* z$ W1 X* a! f- ^! a+ j9 b, DCHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. • Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.8 T2 V# i* |5 @8 g

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.( ^6 B+ P" J3 \9 _( R

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.% y7 f% I- O* A9 w; C

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

2 d2 c2 {) O; B% ]8 ~ [• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.7 N& K1 T" F) T# q1 `. Z; w: K3 l

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

; X# H3 M) {4 O* M, g% Y+ L4 d/ c• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
