Job Description:

Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer 3 J4 r& L( s$ `9 k1 H% Q9 q
Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or in computer system, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions 0 y4 z) U; K# Q6 x, B
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances $ C; T- r: F$ C
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods + |/ L; ]9 Y* \3 v1 P4 j
Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas * Y* X$ T6 Q: l# u, k6 \
Maintain internal, manual or computerized record-keeping systems - l. N% q# ^- P
May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
