Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

' P/ W0 p$ ?( W5 w' k5 mPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
; N( B% T% G/ {" [% r0 |· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
# s. u' p/ d& b/ j! f. c3 N6 q· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ; P4 ^, @5 c. A, X4 T( |
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
0 _& G6 M! k9 m$ V9 ~+ `advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ( p* z% q$ C+ B1 S8 M7 c: z7 M: T3 C2 M
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
# l$ I# C) G8 t+ k) z6 n# pAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
' ~' l, j% f8 s; f8 o2 U. ]· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions ( L$ o& l9 Q6 z- r
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
) r$ g' k5 M0 D% |) O- a4 U, f· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
, [5 B7 m. U1 `· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 6 X8 a( r5 A; W9 ?) M
· Complete program administration, statistics and records % b1 m2 ~! V. f4 ~7 ^/ [

$ R9 D& t' T" A* @# O- Q* \· Completion of 12th
3 M: ]+ C# F8 o! j- g Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
! G' o( u! S: r/ b8 s8 i0 t6 F+ V0 nAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
& ?; b) ^& X. r3 u; _! W- U( M0 }* d· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
& W; S5 C: l$ a4 g# Sexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
+ l: `5 u' q. ]( p· Experience working with and managing volunteers 8 U" m# b+ g. x( M- J
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
