Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
2 B6 p( D. D! L$ w0 B2 L5 D6 E% Z· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
6 w& p) d% U F, a$ Z) y) r· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist ; q& v# y. n) b# r9 l
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the & d. m7 o9 r; q
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ) D* ]: u; s* f ?! U1 w& W- [
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. * z, v" ]" K5 C
· Attend and manage Special Events
" ~8 W% }$ A2 _· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee ) x5 W% e, L: p* S/ s" U/ w% a

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
: c8 [& t) M0 \% H, F3 W) k1 {5 kAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 1 K$ J* p K$ g0 [
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions . }+ ^; ]6 v5 Z( J! g: x* O
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 7 h7 g! ~& a, }1 h P" m9 B
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
( v9 Y+ Q% R- R& ^( V· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
7 S- s6 r; T- N! E2 \· Complete program administration, statistics and records

· Completion of 12th- B5 Y d( a! x5 N7 w
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
, Y+ f! H6 o: L) k0 |+ @& S) a ?( iAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 6 A F# ^2 R: c5 P) b! u. X
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct # i5 H: A6 X, G3 f
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events ; g6 b) b1 N5 p4 v; f2 @
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 3 |, A3 u2 g" C7 R- j
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors - {1 c7 I n. B1 K: s' E/ e/ O. w
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events & f) L" j" y' Z+ `
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training 9 O* q3 M/ y+ F- b! m4 e
· Security Clearance
