Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
3 _- O- R; C& M% J5 u5 C' G· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
6 Q, u9 y+ V5 }· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist . z, R; h* A" O% g3 i
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
7 _; e9 |( j2 w; V5 s Jadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
) O' v* h A* q) T& T, T/ E3 Sset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination $ X4 Z u0 c0 I' v' i5 P8 Y
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 6 H. g' i) c3 m. C* W( H/ r3 b, y
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 4 N" u) J$ I1 B4 \
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 1 C# T, R; j6 ?8 e% I& Z, | B
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
' T! P+ G: o+ J* B3 q0 a· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
/ J) q4 G' A9 T v4 X$ o& Y· Complete program administration, statistics and records

. T( p, i& R: ^: [$ BQualifications:
1 r/ S2 X+ Y7 `" o' X! i3 p7 B9 }· Completion of 12th
, g4 J; M) |$ B. M& \" ~ Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation , O4 B, o5 R, c
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
; `5 i3 c- \3 p/ I+ C3 `+ p8 \* q· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 5 G1 c2 m+ L A# o2 E8 Q( i6 R6 c
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events $ k% ]2 h% Z& i9 l( Q* d2 a# S8 [
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
3 J1 ~5 P( z' \3 H) b0 d) P/ o· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
" q" K8 k" ~" E$ H7 v3 Q+ \: h· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
. D3 C: z. K Z' d- C3 x3 d· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
