; ~( x* e% _) m' e$ I/ m: ]$ m· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
# B8 @3 {6 Q6 Y M7 ]9 O· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist / U W# I3 F2 Y: g: D% ]
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the " {# K9 f$ t; }5 \( Q: J6 g1 J4 ?0 e
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ' v) @/ ~# q) q$ }0 k) t0 a
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. # c; U$ U& k1 e2 u
· Attend and manage Special Events

Duties: Volunteer Coordination / }, h4 z0 }+ [1 o4 `: c: h
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 2 t, J4 X }/ F3 z8 K
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions + M/ G9 B# c# B" @; t& h+ \, s
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
! }0 w( o% o+ S1 X u· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 8 Q% Q$ V; s# B6 q0 f6 X
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
' I& D' @" C7 l· Complete program administration, statistics and records / G# B8 i: ~( Y: u9 o/ F

Qualifications: ! E& w, j6 s2 J( i
· Completion of 12th/ Y# W- `! B1 ^- o& b/ m
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
& v+ x3 q" k% z! F. R" PAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 2 \4 p8 n* ]1 r; J2 l; x" s( t
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
' Q, j a' `8 X& N; rexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events # ~/ P: u p- b
· Experience working with and managing volunteers / T6 N7 }: E+ T% O- H
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors
) r: a9 ~1 V% r( u/ o7 b, p· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
* V# K4 H9 U i/ ^$ v! n: W· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
