1 ~% w  `! t; u5 AIntegrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
skills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded
  n' c2 M! G* U( m2 E) K% Vprogram combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work
! T: Q0 L* f3 j0 {* t# pexperience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as
warehousing, customer service, hospitality, healthcare support, food
services and others.

* `1 `( [! R7 J" L. |% zCandidate Profile:
" m! L5 k$ u! G3 S# [' l2 k) ]% ?
Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
citizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
*        English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
*        Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-
secondary education
! l, k# {* R( X; B% A5 h6 d5 {* c*        A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand
occupation
*        Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed
6 z9 [4 B8 `+ l" t0 P*        Willingness to commit to a program and future job
*        Resided in Alberta for the past 3 months

Program Description:

                        *        4 months classroom-based instruction and
9 z( ~5 a8 M; Y4 n6 nfield trips
+ u; R* F0 L; t! e& f/ J$ \+ }+ }        *        Improve your English while learning about a variety of
high-demand occupations
' W+ Z9 U3 z" E' K1 B4 m4 }        *        Increase computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
' R4 y$ _9 r5 L6 u3 I, BInternet, etc.)
        *        Write a winning resume and improve interview skills
        *        Get First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certificates
; U4 _2 B9 m% |5 @! f* B  k        *        Take advantage of one-on-one employment counseling
                        *        1 month work-experience placement

        *        Monday to Friday
        *        9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (tentative)
        *        All classes are held at The Path to Employment, 10211 - 97
