! ?2 `3 c" j" r/ q- S. hBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

9 h/ H% ^! r) vKey Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
% A) K- B$ O+ B" y  M" r6 f•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
$ p. n. C8 S+ n% P& r. ?# r•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
3 d  ?; G: \% ?+ s  o•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
: \+ `( Y7 x0 C5 h3 H8 b, a•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
" K4 u: |, K' h. [& Q! }! ~•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

0 Q. B- v! o: S- J' h% WThe successful candidate will have:
•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
& S+ @9 ?7 M) p: J  v•        Experience with children
3 z% L: E1 [; z2 {5 u•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
4 ?3 \: o4 q# x" Y/ Q" P* S•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
