Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students . u/ g% |1 v* A6 B
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)8 Q) Y( Q* S$ ~# h, _: \$ S
5 c' D$ o- g, L9 hKey Responsibilities Include
$ F q- e6 I, CActivity Planning and Daily Activity8 _ e4 c) E6 S+ v A
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.% t) e1 W' F9 E0 \+ p( z- T3 x
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. a9 P: N* L+ W
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
* z3 G8 M4 m; U, y• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
) L" ]* h3 {1 i: h• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
/ Z% L- \8 [3 {) K• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting% `/ s" [6 S2 U2 Y% f2 _
• Experience with children
3 w4 X0 x* [/ b• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 6 z) E1 X- Z0 @" T7 O
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.2 V C8 C) j3 ^, k! G" q Y1 ]
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
