, ~$ V" S4 a+ y4 H$ J! iBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. 4 O* ~ I. Z( |1 h" ~- N0 _% G

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students

Key Responsibilities Include' p$ u z2 M3 d# f2 z. K
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
6 E% q! c5 I9 s, e' k* m8 o• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership." \- f1 R; L; N9 n
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. & |# T o7 T9 ] a. ]4 n
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
& U9 A. v4 n+ E( I# x• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants. Y! O3 }1 K$ x! [: Z1 p
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
[7 v# X' N& u3 i' i. i* U" o$ N• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.5 E4 Z2 x$ S# `) e3 e2 |+ ^+ R

The successful candidate will have:
9 F( G& Z! `8 ~+ Z2 f) m. J4 Z• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
, P5 o5 s7 @' k+ D• Experience with children/ h. k& F2 l7 u/ r$ W
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
! y$ A2 n5 m. C! S# W6 k• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
$ x: U+ H+ J$ G; _• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
