Responsibilities:
5 b! [' T6 x0 K9 f8 a7 ?6 Y' a  iResponsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
/ g9 k$ q' r, A% }Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
& U0 z* h' ^8 d8 ~( X: ATroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
: F. ~( k2 M( f" \: cMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
" f) Y0 D* O$ d! mProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
Providing application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
7 Q5 ^' l! f! T; g; aDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

7 g2 ^( H9 A9 HQualifications:
General:
  X$ w3 F9 M- TDiploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
. w/ _) P2 g: R( j4 i/ XExperience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
Strong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
  `/ i- V: J, O  JStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.

; y' U8 p* I# y# m! R. x. |Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
  u' }, r( B/ l% e; CStrong SQL skills
