動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.# c; b* V3 N2 e3 ]: z
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。0 Q& e- {6 K; s. E' y/ o8 Z4 e

The boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.! S) M) q( z$ W- H# |; Y9 B

$ v% u' D; F* o0 EThe Cashier said, ' I ' m sorry, but you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll. '; y0 i( s' o* l. A) ~! @

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ' ' Granny,* [6 D# ~  b- m& a
are you sure I don ' t have enough money? ' '
( M6 g; @& L& G, e  [4 _, ?  c# \小男孩轉向他旁邊的老婦人:

: ~8 V" }1 o- z/ G& O  e& s  \「奶奶!妳也認為我的錢不 嗎?」/ ?+ T4 b% E0 c3 c6 V

$ L5 B, W* w( d1 r( r, MThe old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' ', {# o9 l/ w4 O. |& R+ L( R# z) a" Y
老婦人回道:「親愛的!你知道買這個娃娃的錢是不夠的。」$ l. ^$ y% h2 h! V' m" c
+ O( S' e# b) b7 j, {, Q( S
+ R7 K; |. c) F
Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to.

' L3 G& L# U% Q% Y0 d& oI replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. ' No, Santa Claus can ' t bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there. '1 e# z3 W" F! m4 a& f) r( j

His eyes were so sad while saying this. ' My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister. ' '

2 O% f! j$ ]5 H) K& W6 G. wThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '! [% `& q1 Q1 H4 Q. H# Q

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. ', x6 W/ u! R+ a/ ?

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

- e( }! Z# }# u9 U'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.% c, h- z2 a# H9 u. t8 [, l
『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。

The little boy said: ' Thank you God for giving me enough money! '0 i  `8 z( S2 t3 E3 U$ R
小男孩說:『謝謝上帝給了我足 的錢!』) t$ b! H4 p+ A6 d

9 l* r- M. ]2 j5 l# y. U* xThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn ' t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. ' '

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket.3 n# W9 N/ k; `) }

+ z- p+ C- ~9 ?/ O% Q* JI finished my shopping in a totally different state of mind from when I started.

3 t$ x/ V" @) J# N5 z. g3 PThen I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young5 Y# Z. q# N6 R/ B0 `) E
woman and a little girl.
0 f6 s; ^: }3 d) q( s9 i4 \我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。) K) ^% N0 D4 _7 b4 `( |7 d

8 j/ K% I, T; q0 w; ]The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical3 P% {) H1 a: j4 f/ z
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the
& T, w/ `7 d! w, Hlife-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.9 @$ z6 h+ d$ F/ @: x3 J* w7 `6 h
小女孩當場死亡,母親呈現彌留狀態。 這個家庭必須決定是否要拔出維持生命機器的插管

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.: e2 T0 S. H& B# E
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。8 x1 [2 T0 ?2 n4 ]4 w

$ R) U6 P1 _. ~2 }/ c. A+ aShe was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

对自己负责。对别人负责,对社会负责,请勿酒后驾车。因为这个小男孩有可能成为你家的孩子。
