動人心弦的小男孩 (Little Boy Touches Hearts)

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.& Y$ g) K( F, O  {2 s
我在「塔杰」商店閒逛時,看到收銀員將一些錢退還給小男孩。

3 U4 d. b7 W( ^9 q7 t( aThe boy couldn ' t have been more than 5 or 6 years old.

The old lady replied: ' ' You know that you don ' t have enough money to buy this doll, my dear. ' '

' d) _$ p% _* k6 g+ ]Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.& z/ l, l' \2 a  r) t. Y, _# S

4 @  {3 m$ z* v# s: W2 ^4 iThe little boy looked up at me and said: ' I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall. '

Then he showed me a very nice photo of himself. He was laughing. He then told me ' I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won ' t forget me. '. e+ V( G# Y9 h9 n

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

" w# o/ \4 i; u& S+ J0 M0 F: j'OK ' he said, ' I hope I do have enough. ' I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
% R& O* [2 m/ e5 |/ x* j『好呀!』他說『我希望有足夠的錢』。沒讓他看見,我塞了一些錢到他的錢包中,我們開始數錢。買娃娃的錢足 了,甚之還有剩餘呢。9 |) ]6 L" q9 G5 H( U5 T7 ?

% H( }, Y5 W& B2 X6 y9 @7 Y! PThen he looked at me and added, ' I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give it to my sister. He heard me! ' '+ r& j  t3 U6 r6 ^

. F! C2 ~5 D2 K% pwoman and a little girl.
& i# e4 ]1 T) I/ ]7 w& v我想起兩天前當地報紙的一篇文章,提及一位醉酒卡車司機,撞上了一輛載著年輕少婦和一個小女孩的汽車。

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical' x( O7 f# ]. a' e5 N0 X# m
state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the+ J. M; `7 ?( `$ {" ^' ]
life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.4 |8 P& k0 n, n0 w2 D  y( c1 d

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.6 \4 ?5 |) b; ~

I couldn ' t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.- j: w# Q- v0 j' Z2 w( P, J. {) p
我不自主的買了一束白玫瑰,來到喪家,年輕少婦的遺體在她埋葬前讓人瞻仰與最後許願。( a  N: o/ @8 D

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
