Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
: Z1 f6 Y+ Q. T2 _- |- I- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
( \; ^/ K$ ]! v* a9 l- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

' b& e! x1 N; y$ ]; D* `Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
0 ]' C, k7 h1 n1 ?0 O" G" t+ U- communication skills
' {! ~/ j; _, @- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
: A* L6 Z+ C2 U* l- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

1 M" a) `/ [* s2 f- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
