Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
8 u0 s% W* Y+ ^: M+ |. K- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
7 }9 s& q: u6 x) _  ]/ z- Recruit children for summer program
# Y" W9 l; D; o' @( ]- Provide orientation for parents
! @6 C: Z; \% h& T% ~6 c& `7 C2 ~- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
4 F5 E% ^. j6 g$ I4 n$ ]- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:
# h- m, p3 V: U# I) c4 r7 ?- |
- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
$ L% W! E: C) A: U' f+ y- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset

9 ]* x% f4 Z' t0 [9 h( l. i- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
