support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video & x( Q4 P" U' p9 s
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 9 y% M# P7 n1 L
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 7 R7 o E7 L# e; K% C4 W5 b5 y
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as , V1 _& b; T( u; B) e) }
well as the script, magazine and book library. / f3 y- Q# S/ f! M i5 j3 V

8 N# m+ g& l' U, u$ j% i. v8 F/ W+ M- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library " }. ?' j! v8 c, z# w- z, |- P: \, f
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
& t" j5 S7 j& }* b- Implement a catalogue template for future use 2 e) {9 n& P0 R' `6 U; f; v
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure * b% _* B; z* R6 a# Y
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- z m9 H( U4 b6 d: O. H- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts ~+ h- M0 G7 r1 e
- Strong organizational skills
( o. B* P- g, K4 q" q- Experience or training in library sciences preferred 6 U0 [ R9 O# @, Z- v
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal 5 D2 y5 l7 r4 ?0 \: ?# }
- Strong team player abilities
