whose mandate is to support the production and exhibition of film, video and media

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ' G7 M. h9 A% l, Q J
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ) u& l' u- Z c( M* H6 y
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

8 B, N" D5 h3 U" K. a- l: TJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive : ~3 J3 F9 k0 w+ N9 r2 u+ E
Director and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
& A; x t% \! w s$ V: j- X# I- K1 eassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. ( E& }8 ~% p) H/ W
: E) A: g+ J, BDuties:
3 w, c! y3 x( H {- Assist with research on acquisition grants
( ?9 W8 }% M6 U3 ?/ ?) L) r1 ^- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities
3 z) W- ~& }) K7 x4 U$ u$ i e" ^- Assist with equipment maintenance
! @% }4 E- ?8 ?) C% V8 z) @- Assist with production logistics for programming events
9 i1 z4 Y% I/ u7 H" e( f" w$ o3 B- V9 g- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
2 t* k t" X) r& u- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable " S7 O( F5 f# {9 [
- Provide vacation relief

. R; a- s7 _5 A$ @- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment

- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
