CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.

spring at Miette Hot Springs.
We will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA
# ], r/ J8 K; \+ O* vVolunteers.
We'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

Day Two
-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
7 M$ u: t: }, y  t* B5 ]4 L; b# Bmorning .
1 o# V4 u3 Y7 B+ KAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
trip. It's
$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done
this
before, I strongly recommend you to do so.
2 M" ?% h7 U; t, n$ y0 A-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so
that you
0 s0 a0 j: I8 D+ a+ O* P* rcould visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or

-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.
-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
van on
& p+ J: ]: b( K' \2 ftime.

Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
# R' K( S, W# x  J3 r) s-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
" X0 N5 B! m7 K4 D* m-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
" p1 q- t! e* w- zin the
late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes
and
; p. s8 I; Q  j  Q" T; kshoes are definitely needed.
-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
drving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
places where
there are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
eat.
& J5 u. g2 u* p5 e, w3 ~$ @+ Q8 BFeel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an
! [/ v" K1 t/ W/ a  k* V2 pIGA in
Jasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

! U/ p# [2 b$ ]$ B# uCost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,
two-night
* J) V* V! ]# E( B( ?accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it
excludes
the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
0 T& b5 B- s# J, |Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
, N' k' {% e" n  OCanoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
Maligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
