Job Description
- V+ ^! |+ [4 A# I' B* H3 u% ]Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
$ _1 x6 W% e" h! s" n& ~- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
5 o( J( A6 j. e. ]9 ?- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
) N5 k* ^, g' O7 @- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
3 W( M0 m! T3 Z( Y9 \: d- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
' q7 V0 l8 l" m- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other

- j) t' s/ k% h& d/ \: f6 U) Y0 ]- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary
5 u7 I- L( T, [+ F0 N2 F1 F
- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
