Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
2 y( o/ z* g+ `8 ]- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
4 G3 d5 v/ D; }; z- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

5 }7 M% s$ q  A% Z; @3 L- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
1 `" X( Q0 H! C+ p& t. d! X- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
4 p! t: G" r" d: u2 \9 d- good computer skills
$ O) r; [/ n+ J4 E- i- leadership abilities
, J- {4 l0 G5 d4 o- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- Z) p5 t; o9 k: m# L- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
