Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
Responsibilities:
- Organize focus group(s)
$ u7 i9 E: G& R: m# y8 d8 Q- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
0 L8 X5 N$ ]3 g5 i- T" b3 u( f- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
4 n  z1 a6 M' E- s- Find sponsors to enhance program
; P5 a5 h% e& b" T$ h- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

, P6 \6 Y( v+ D, L' ~Qualifications:

1 b& {& U$ ^3 ^% t& \& |- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
: J% y/ D3 L2 Z8 w$ @6 k* \- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
3 u0 p( A  r0 }: Q% j- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

: X: L- W7 Y& G! V- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
