Job Description
& @) m' W* z6 b' C9 c) J) }- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
- r u. v8 N2 Z! n D provide services for Chinese community$ P% u1 f4 N( w9 \7 n5 y
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
+ A; K; O+ F' V& \ access to mainstream services
' b8 t& |! n, r6 ?: c- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ) [: p2 C6 M8 y; S% g' g
social services0 C* w1 W0 k1 ]. d r( ?8 y
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
* [8 J# R P2 V9 |- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
; B" i! g8 M# o, A- update ASSIST website
5 U2 U) `8 K' [, q1 V$ S# _; m( r. T9 J- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
; T; i! r) i- B L' f1 E+ f- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
8 S% X& b+ y8 _4 c& n7 T$ u- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
9 K7 t4 j$ e t- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
& T D9 c2 [ N" i experience and education
0 D, V! P+ ` ?9 M- good oral and written Chinese and English skills2 Q3 ~3 n/ f& t$ ?, h7 V8 j
- experience in community work and immigrant services
' |( E# a* q9 A5 R- experience in website update/design! H ~1 {/ T3 K/ c; s
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
