Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
U! B% A- e1 |6 c+ { provide services for Chinese community+ ?5 u0 Z! q5 a2 F3 m$ q
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population " c) d: L3 @3 t. V# c; X
access to mainstream services- F2 V: P& `8 x; @+ K
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
, o* ^9 n: t# d2 e ? social services' \! z" |6 l) k
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
5 `& T( T3 B% m- w, Z- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members8 r% d: ] i0 I- f. H+ }/ t/ }. j
- update ASSIST website
% \- W' |" T7 ^+ Z, {- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
9 P) S/ d/ k5 i* f& [/ G& h9 I- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- update membership database

Qualifications
: I+ f s+ x B0 @8 N8 U- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
! ~% e0 e- P7 @+ m+ E( x experience and education
& Y6 |9 ^, D1 w1 P4 a j- good oral and written Chinese and English skills8 Z% g- M. g4 Z2 X" x! M# I2 c
- experience in community work and immigrant services
+ w t2 ^+ N7 i! P' J. h- experience in website update/design5 l9 [. x. W- A: C, H& m. X8 m
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
