Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

1 O+ E4 M& \* U+ W" D9 B9 p- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the
% i1 b& Y& d8 s; e( L. Q1 X! b+ B preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
2 F4 m3 s& S8 ]- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program! F5 o1 e7 @+ G( Y7 ]
- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
: } {* L( N% H1 A, O; d' a- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program
6 K6 c: L8 P0 ` Coordinator
% B+ ]9 d7 T. y l0 i0 K+ L- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager6 B$ m/ m# s! \/ B0 f! V# ^* H

Qualifications:
& d4 U- {" P4 h! Y' M5 ]; d- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood " x n, z- H6 O- G1 }- `; o
Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
! Q/ Q) a p6 f- b+ `( n- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
2 v1 h* N8 J% X, }- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills8 J$ s+ A; q) ~2 ?7 T2 Z; m- y4 d
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
7 I5 U/ \# K( s- Y- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese1 r8 Q) v8 f0 p/ R4 H- Z M
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities( L' h* Z# a$ C9 h( G
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- I! x4 V1 f; o& x$ _- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

Other Information:
' V( f$ S- r* j& x- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)
2 T- P) ~' u7 o6 \0 n7 { and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
" E1 e7 l( v* h3 ?- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009& w# R6 {: L Q M3 j

- $14.00 per hour
