Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 20097 n' o; P% a3 y c8 J2 ^& \

Responsibilities:
: ^5 H. \, g6 S# e/ N- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
7 D5 H3 T5 m' j& _ (ages 6 to 15)
$ B3 e; N) L+ L2 N- j- Recruit children for summer programs
' s4 M' S, @/ M1 y- Recruit volunteers for summer programs$ ~. H% a7 q( g1 d9 W3 M
- Record keeping
8 S& C9 y9 }) \; b4 f0 |6 e- V3 Y$ {) \- Provide orientation for parents! u/ B* c) w9 n8 L3 t& X
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency: L0 l' L( b4 j# v1 H
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

, W; j. ^, O! O- J- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education x9 R G1 @5 w' ?' \# j
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children7 d9 ?. I# w1 Y3 o2 E8 H- J
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills4 N5 A! N) Z7 k( p
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
, o" N+ V4 ~* h+ [* ]. f- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese* I0 h- B3 J* S2 r
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities D% N% b6 p9 q) m8 c$ G' t% g- U
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)

- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009% z% W* G; b( s8 ?' b
