Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program ) s$ X2 a& K2 o1 g! M# X8 H& z. @
(ages 6 to 15) : \7 H' M2 v' j- b: s: A
- Recruit children for summer programs9 [& H, y5 w% f" c/ Y
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs$ _; f7 d, x q, \5 T0 O
- Record keeping" a, G- j0 W) ^
- Provide orientation for parents. f: n) _) V5 Q# }- p( k" i, v
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency" p9 n! F1 |' D- W8 z: o0 ~
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

Qualifications:
9 _( J3 N$ y# p% n' `; N0 d3 ~- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
/ H0 `8 x1 N; d- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
* z+ E2 J- h/ `& i- Y) I- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
1 G- ^' _- S7 I |+ M" ]- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities$ r: K0 x4 ]7 j
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese V* w2 i/ g& m, I0 X2 r9 l8 k; G
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
! N% p* p4 V' D# P/ D- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) 8 b" @% J, b5 G. k7 g/ U
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)2 E7 A4 Z' ^7 q: c/ Q# {# f7 f& ]
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 20090 j& ~( l' l J3 M) K
