" P% x0 V! o, g, p6 a( a * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications8 V' U# b; m3 P/ ^3 c
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
! f- Y1 F# J! o0 l/ x* f1 U- [ * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
7 [, b9 x, f7 u. h * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students , O9 c2 q1 Q9 x* @
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
