/ |) f$ i* x/ x- x1 K0 c; C * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications- Z( O, \) G1 M, X2 N
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis. E( x7 X3 D/ ]' Q- m; k1 D: |7 W+ o
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance4 `3 J' o1 H; \0 s* a8 T, [
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students

X+ Z! j; v3 R0 l# p, Q7 g * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
