* Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications7 j! O" K; Q) S. `( o, F! E
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis: `' E, V1 s' V2 e/ i2 c
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance3 ^- Y, V$ l5 I6 v! [+ z
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students ( ^8 D; W/ ? x9 w. r) |. r
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
; B0 a) Y9 ]* g4 V * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
