Responsibilities:
! {9 u7 {9 P$ |- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
- Recruit children for summer program
% U1 W; p, f' S# w" `4 _- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
$ D/ C, t! t' b! B7 C- Prepare final report for funding agency
- X! u$ G5 v5 `2 v7 D
Qualifications:

- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
. y" o. p& |8 f, _! q$ j- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
& V6 C* [0 r7 w% a- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
2 d: _6 o) s& z# j4 }; a- good computer skills
+ z/ `2 R: Y' ?( R% Z% A. P' L- leadership abilities
6 _( W. }3 p% `- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
