A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

( P( u' y' }4 U/ ?9 X5 pknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)

8 q& p0 P# w( S) t) I6 E- r) [• WHMIS9 e3 l6 e6 L' R& q; p% _$ u4 W
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care7 {. H. P: Q) t
• Components to improve communication skills

$ ]: k# e; ]( a/ k• have a Social Insurance Number1 d: A# a4 s, J O; z
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
7 ^" t* X1 g4 Q1 |' S: z# j& |• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
( z/ D9 t. b( \# @• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time. t' ]: x0 `6 G; u

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet& R0 `3 E3 K8 O8 ~+ w; S
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:) g5 Q5 r9 l, W' s5 {# f8 y! [( k2 }
• be unemployed or underemployed. H: T( T8 f+ r; v$ k' R5 w5 [
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
