A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.
2 H1 J' I C% O# H, W3 N: JThis program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
% P2 n9 d' B) m$ _knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

/ T. l2 Y- s7 T2 {• Standard Child Care First Aid C5 P) P f0 |; j& X0 M
• WHMIS( h. I; \2 P# U
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care1 H5 }: D* {$ g' ]% r. z
• Components to improve communication skills4 W* B4 x. K- U2 A S
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search8 l2 k4 S. D& p5 m( d
• Practicum Placements. N! |3 I7 v$ W2 b7 Y% {; G3 u* C
Eligibility Criteria
/ |2 l1 d7 @" g! _• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen2 M% v, J0 M+ [1 L+ G/ Z2 F) ^
of Canada8 T0 S" o, Y( v2 z9 V% p3 S- y1 r: ]- X
• have a Social Insurance Number" { Z% }/ n% z4 z( l8 M/ |! a
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check, t" q. Z& f0 |
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
6 s% j. a/ P5 w4 M& L• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet; D; T! Z6 w3 a
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
! N( w! V# w, _9 O9 X* L( H• be unemployed or underemployed.& O: p8 Z$ H4 v
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course6 J% t# P- g O4 ^4 M& y+ R3 H9 ~
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
