A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.7 e! t; r2 _" s+ m! k' \
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

The program includes the following elements:8 L& e/ V L5 }0 u: k
• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
4 b# Z0 k! Z4 p% x• Standard Child Care First Aid& s; t1 A1 [( l
• WHMIS0 y- g7 z9 _* t Q: T6 I
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care. W+ ^# M: q g: X. d. E& o: G7 ^
• Components to improve communication skills
$ o K+ Q, d9 {• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search) t$ t9 m$ |% Q. E$ ]: \) e
• Practicum Placements

+ C# }; V* Z P• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
$ z. J1 O1 i; B3 v1 r; Wof Canada
- p7 I( U& `# H6 }• have a Social Insurance Number
7 i/ Y" h8 h: _& }3 u• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
C& q9 `) r q0 s' t4 |: n• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent" P+ y* O9 c# S b: @
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time7 e/ W: F M+ U! j4 d& @7 P

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet" Z# q( a0 ?# q5 y. v" m
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:: Z; T! Q: |8 v4 b8 _# l
• be unemployed or underemployed.

• meet the financial eligibility criteria
