Ambulance personnel were called to the building at 9023 184 St. at around 4:20 a.m., found the body of a 50-year-old woman inside one of the suites, and called police.

Investigators have not released the cause of death, but are calling the death suspicious., ?9 n9 u4 O6 T7 a
7 V8 x8 F i' b4 `8 j; M- ^Police say the address is known to west division officers, who have responded to the suite several times in the past for family-related disturbances.

Officers are speaking to a 20-year-old man who lived in the suite with the woman.. }% b: F1 L( G$ I9 h
. e" n! A% a v5 [! q0 L6 GYellow police tape surrounded the entrance to the eight-unit, three-storey tall building as tight-lipped EPS officers walked in and out of the home throughout the day.

Though neighbours say they did not hear anything yesterday morning, some say the neighbourhood is less safe than it used to be.

“My granddaughter is 20 and is scared to go out,” Joan Harvey said while visiting her relative yesterday afternoon. “I’m scared for her.”

2 y9 Q* I& X- N! [, GCiara Harvey said she wants to move away from the neighbourhood, just blocks away from West Edmonton Mall.

“It’s usually pretty quiet ... but lately it’s been getting pretty rough,” the young mother said.
