 What to do if you are in a car accident

cannot be moved, turn on the hazard lights. Turn off the

' W/ s9 z* h+ j8 eStep2. Determine if anyone is injured. Do not move an injured person.

Step3. Call 911 for the police and ambulance (if needed) immediately.

Step4. If another vehicle is involved, get the car’s year, make, model " l9 {" B; N6 y, w
and license plate number; the driver’s name, address and license

driver does not own the car, get the name of the car’s owner. ! a- q, Q7 s( l$ d- Z" J
Write down names and addresses of other passengers or

Step5. The police officer will give you a copy of the collision report.

Step6. Cooperate with the police, but do not admit guilt for the

hazards, road conditions and driving speed. Draw a picture of

% l" t8 T5 P+ ~5 I6 t' m already on other cars involved. If a camera is available, take

( z+ d/ ^* t+ I( L/ jStep10. Report the accident to your insurance agent or insurance
