Job Description

  b" J  }, |4 qJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
# Y8 I( E. H$ t9 v& k: {* A7 B# J3 T# G•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
; J3 s& A: J* \' Y$ N; w•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
! O4 J$ v# w, E# p1 t" T6 ~•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
, ?5 W" \+ o8 x4 ^/ `' m+ w8 W$ Q- b; s•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
, ~9 Y! {3 Z; c# F' y- b•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
2 S% |: c9 r/ T2 \, B' }•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends

Qualifications
# d: v1 F* L: G; o6 }, |6 V•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
4 q: }* j" O$ c) ~•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
2 \% `8 s- C9 p; |; v! B•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
% C7 F, i+ d0 S2 J/ e. X: {( t•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
+ w/ s: t4 e/ q4 @6 Q; b' v
Other
