    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
; F3 b6 c7 M8 p; Q9 ]    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities8 ^( z1 r# o% ~4 y3 K
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes" |* N% b9 U- n% _9 l& w' E
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
7 N& t6 B7 m2 c  Y    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
% Z. t; r' Z  h9 L# Q6 B+ \) _! C    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements: o0 i8 h  p- G& o
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs9 x& P+ q) P. R! [  o' ^
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director: }: x$ f( A; W6 L" V+ V
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
4 t+ o6 o8 a" i1 ^- r% ^5 Q# }; t    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
. ^- M3 |" _* H" D7 {" K5 Y5 f4 T7 _    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media, w1 C- V. {" T
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results9 l9 [& y' U& M* B" A
    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies3 _5 s6 ~& ~* w

    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred0 {2 n: c1 {2 n- e; f: ?& c
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
6 N/ w- Z+ z5 v2 F    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset% T8 ?) ~, y5 M( Q5 X
    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies/ N7 J8 b; O& N# g# o5 H% x! Q
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
+ R( b" z2 X* y; B$ V* W- n- N    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning( W: V) F7 y1 ?- X
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
