t5 o( ?2 w+ r: g* q/ b" N4 i" b * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program0 Q( t r: P# C2 h( u& i
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
& t3 `4 R& d/ w8 D* H+ m) j5 n7 B: @ * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes2 A1 i* t$ k) K5 e G
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
9 @8 L: T/ O0 n, e- _5 ?* w * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders8 P. y" Q) `. u( w0 M5 K
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
$ L' D2 S0 ^ Q1 v7 d$ I7 B4 V * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
+ Q* J( f8 X/ n * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
, \& r2 @0 E% _- O4 D) S * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

1 V$ C/ u" h% d7 w1 E2 k' ~ * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
: l) b" R# \/ u, B$ N3 U6 v" c& g+ `# D: c W: e
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
! C7 e3 V8 n& z T4 o2 g * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
5 e, H3 I! ^. T( d- _9 b * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset1 N, E( o( Z: O9 P. X8 \, u+ p
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies! `9 K6 F Q0 |" j- y' }
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
& X. m) s& c( I r/ X * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning! X3 q+ r5 M; O7 J/ \
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
