* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
3 l" u+ n, n5 Q T& f% H$ `' J * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities# b4 [& z4 W- M Z" }8 `' E
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
6 g4 G: A2 a: R" X" ^ * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat, n8 M5 R: B! m( S3 \ G: G
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
/ A5 O! N+ ], S+ b- t: u, B * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements- Q$ _) Y! {0 [! I; f! A0 l7 q
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs8 S" [2 i+ y$ ^ {! p7 r. _
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
+ ^ G( \6 ~( K; z, S! O * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning7 [% L8 ^# W7 E( x0 Q- G
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
& V" ^( t$ k8 Z9 Z! {$ [ * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth) P: M& |+ [' ^1 Z* k
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
! O4 i' e; Z- G( P1 R * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies# J# o: ?) Z2 F
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
) f( ~& B" M( x) Q( U; G * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
