% x% i+ B L/ \4 v0 a0 y2 ? * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program; n0 G$ Z" O8 d Y f6 G
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
A; r0 f5 Z2 s1 s' i. N6 e y * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
5 f; h) _, O5 L * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat" g$ F6 e9 p. r$ p
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
/ b; R, g+ t0 {" v* @# A/ h) K * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
6 W' D+ U" E3 K" y1 ^ * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
" q- M, k) o* a+ r. F- O1 ~8 k * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
" t" g3 N7 _4 \ * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning; @6 L2 |1 c* @ A1 s% k4 y
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials& F# F9 w5 X/ [, ~7 D0 R
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media* L6 l6 q+ t; p2 D9 k% U0 p
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
5 I) |( S: e& d * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

" B* n& X% @1 H! F' k( X# ~ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
! b# Q0 D, g! I9 H P! q, J * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
, Y" @: k. M- X8 j$ ^. _. J5 V) d * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
* U3 u0 O# o* b1 `1 a2 C }9 q+ b4 @ * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies% b/ _; g/ g; e0 [; U
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills& h# W8 z r9 r; I! H9 g4 E
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning$ o" x2 c9 ^( I* D0 } q
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)2 I% N2 c, I/ f6 a8 n
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
