* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
+ d6 G/ V' p$ z * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
) L2 o z# y2 ?. x9 m- h * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes$ S( V! }" N: p% d+ w
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat/ e9 t: m; ~. V
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders! W* _# o! }% _9 N% Z6 U# w1 o
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements$ z" }6 t' N/ v# Z' K
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs1 {* {, c+ u* `% ], g
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director# A6 [- Y) I/ I6 i0 B, r3 d
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

" D4 g# l. F2 R4 \ P; s * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

Qualifications) s% G4 F9 O6 p. G( C) p. m# n

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
- \ K- T% h, h& }+ ~0 l7 } * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
+ n7 ^ _0 \: D7 K+ S; E3 k * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset" ~; S: Y. h, f9 q: U$ t
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies( p% Q3 O+ j1 ]) B) p7 n
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
4 C- `+ ~# O( {' K3 N; l% d * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
