* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program4 \' M7 @! I v8 u) [
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
( ]* o5 Y& p3 P9 v * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
) Y- d; b2 @. o; e2 [. a9 ^1 e, a * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
, }4 j3 Z! }9 @* L8 R& q* _ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders! {. w& i# w# L, Y7 t) X i/ \
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
- |8 K* o% ~# k * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs( j& i% Z$ G) e
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
' O! f: E9 Y! K: s * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
: g$ R) O8 ]2 S- S* P4 z; A * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials! p8 ?6 t& g9 K( n% X8 B" M0 @
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
! F' a! o0 n2 J6 U y * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results$ x* s0 ^+ O8 S* H8 m0 v" }
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications
, P" H% M$ M1 n2 T' S1 O2 X$ a8 y: ~% w2 I7 `: V% t1 I
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred3 c& t- i' O) o2 [
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth: z; \1 T( k; X7 K, g! T
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
. R. V' G7 d, X; A: O: }& H% D9 { * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies0 }4 z S, ?& p$ f c1 U- N& U
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills; z4 F2 `' b# b
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning- O8 ]9 d7 _6 v! v8 n' ^1 n% X7 ]
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)8 x5 M! _' R3 d6 @; e3 k( L/ `) k
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
