* M: {3 E& Z  n, J4 c( r5 X( `/ x    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
% g, U0 j8 t; U" n    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses
    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth
    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program
    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports

    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly
  b* t; Q- D6 e. m, F; n) ]    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities
9 q1 ]- o* x# S6 e    * Develops a communications and advertising strategy targeting community agencies, youth groups/programs, and schools

0 p) a5 \, h3 n  ], c7 ~) L7 X    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies

    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

3 p6 C# m7 G0 P    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills

3 V6 Z8 e+ s* E7 F2 E& R    * Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills
    * Excellent communication (oral, written, and web-based), organizational and interpersonal skills
