Position: Youth Services Coordinator

o        Accountable for Towards  A New Generation (T.A.N.G.) youth program
o        Writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth program
. {: q& I) s+ k' D) b9 y/ y' g  }" Ro        Supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
  S2 h/ ^" }1 v" ?/ io        Coordinate, develop, and manage a summer youth program
2 q* z& q" ?( ~1 Jo        Liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
o        Train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
' V7 M/ G. e# K5 H: ^" K* yo        Accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
6 X- A8 n; l, ]  R6 Y6 wo        Demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
6 t" k- @& z% F1 o; lo        Participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
o        Be open and willing to explore new ideas
% r* V6 Y2 y1 ^$ I; j( W5 M# eo        Work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
$ C+ ~: ~" x! x+ @o        Be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

6 h8 y1 |; n5 e3 }* M( x: C1 bQualifications
. r4 y8 A: c0 C# y! |+ l% @o        Degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
o        Good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
3 O! x, }* I% `  no        Experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
+ }& \  a1 a" ^6 lo        Leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
8 L; z6 C  R8 S! W1 ?o        Willingness to learn
) w7 g- n  r" w/ N$ g( J
