Interior Designer

5 W/ n& D8 {( A' d" \2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,

drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for& q) J# \- P, V% A/ Y
specification and installation.
' g% s2 ~0 v" L; o4 z3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning/ W7 i4 }+ x1 C' E1 K) u
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these' j: B, n6 c7 ^' s" \ d% F2 d

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering6 s' y+ d; I; c& E2 w. o& s, k9 z
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
8 s' O0 p1 x; x: r5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction" ~0 y5 J" M% l0 ]$ V$ S6 ^1 h
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
$ L' h/ L4 G; J# N& Design (A&D) drawing sets.

assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes: R6 L" B. _! e4 G$ l1 w

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job/ J1 T" j N* v- l- c( F' k
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
. |: j9 G8 G& E5 I! L9 C9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
; L- s1 \8 l1 Z# S10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
$ E' d5 E* @4 j& O7 X11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Y4 V k- R# {6 U3 R+ n* Wrelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and! [1 p2 u. g2 X, e2 q- Z
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general% d6 Z: U2 }+ V7 R8 f5 E
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
