Duties
: a" J! C$ i9 d5 l4 _' a6 @Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele
. P$ T0 p* Y+ Q& H7 f% y: w: U% P; dResponsible for specialization in workstation image management
; r! D+ v8 ~3 |. yResponsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers
  m- u9 l: X, z- }Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support
( j" O# {  f- f% r: s% l( sWorks within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP
' Y, X8 C- R3 ?7 b% p" s- {7 n( LDevelops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
8 K) @5 m: b! K. z) p8 KDesigns, develops and implements MySQL relational databases

Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program
/ L+ N2 B3 H/ Y, y/ xRecent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
  c$ M4 q" }8 X) e. l7 aMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations
& l5 e! Y, ?- ]2 p2 I& B; Y4 P' QExperience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL)
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills
& o" c/ L4 w0 ^& }5 {! E, ~- `Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
