The road test is about 25 to 30 minutes long, including instructions and feedback./ a0 {7 f+ P, G1 m5 p0 b
You are required to know and demonstrate:

7 h' n4 `( p7 K& I3 v8 U+ ~· how to do right and left turns legally and safely
+ n: n& h- l" ?! a7 K7 A! K· school and/or playground zone times and speed limits

· how to hill park (up or down). ~; n4 Q; V! D
· proper lane changing O v4 p- x6 F
· how to manage controlled and uncontrolled intersections5 g% j v$ `3 [9 D
1 f2 O7 g0 O" V# NThe road test will run the full time unless the Examiner feels that your safety, or the safety of others, is at risk.

the test may be stopped.

· All Driver Examiners are licensed by Alberta Infrastructure and Transportation under the Driver Training

tests. They should be courteous and professional, keeping conversation at all times relevant to the

· Wear clothing that is practical for driving and comfort. It should be appropriate for the

The Examiner will do a vehicle check with you. You will be in the driver’s seat and the examiner will ask you to% d5 i3 C0 @# Z3 P% _
assist in checking the signal and brake lights, horn, brakes, and steering. You will be asked to describe and
- f" r" \. f; r. d( ^ d0 C H: vdemonstrate two of the instruments or controls inside the vehicle, such as the hazard lights and windshield
0 W8 L: }* h4 r7 uwipers. The Examiner will provide information before you move the vehicle about the route and the instructions

While Driving …

( j; w5 H b5 |· You will be given ample instruction in advance for each manoeuvre and activity.
; z4 {' w* x- x, D9 O) m· Points will be assigned for errors. You will be allowed a maximum of 75 points to pass the road test.
, o9 Q/ b- |. [+ Q* Y0 vYou must not do anything that is considered unlawful, dangerous, or unsafe, (for example, speeding or not

the areas you need to improve upon. The points for errors will be explained at this time.

+ `$ z- [' Z6 Z# |9 u+ P9 UAlberta Registry Agent to have your licence changed to a Class 5 Probationary Licence. There will be a fee for this" q8 t9 R- r; d6 R; H
