Job Description

! j8 H4 @2 e7 ~/ U2 C- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker7 n- l1 B! ~2 q# O# t
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

. m! C- M4 C$ }/ GQualifications:
- k1 ]1 y% x" ?7 k4 {" p; F- post secondary diploma
& n: ]6 q/ N( l: {7 h$ i7 z- customer service and office clerical experiences I" G2 `/ R/ T8 m7 g
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset' o( e" _: n% T: C, ]0 N" f

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community G/ S: }/ ]# L3 }2 x" K r
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services% M0 N- K! q1 {& \/ V3 t2 }1 \
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services; R% O. K, ~( H' l K. {
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
# f: c% S* ^6 R/ U; S$ C) V+ ^- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
. u4 D, M8 l- P \: n- update ASSIST website
1 x' Z* f6 u5 n2 J2 `- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
+ V/ `6 T; h" i* v2 c9 R9 @- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services" h+ s3 ?8 m9 N5 C& V; T. O- Z
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
) d1 T( h ]1 c& d; ^# ]- write quarterly and final reports for ISP+ @( c8 |0 g5 J# E
- hold regular meetings with ISP team. E; W+ J3 ~. q, {
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)8 x. ~! d" M8 t1 p

3 V( |# O" f4 C' u% x/ t9 g- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
4 }& n x6 i/ ?9 ?! f- good oral and written Chinese and English skills& p9 U. r1 X, L( ~ A) z, `3 e- x- L
- experience in community work and immigrant services
