Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
1 u7 G& A0 g* t9 F/ v% |- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
2 _' k9 t5 \- H( _+ l5 m- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
4 @) V. D9 q5 V- d" C- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team& {) W9 u! ]8 G, o9 J
4 a; q$ r0 H/ ~; ^7 M, Q- j+ Z1 O! HQualifications:( Y& |: f7 W" ~2 T a( I6 O
- post secondary diploma & d5 `4 T" _6 n1 M
- customer service and office clerical experiences

( ^ ^9 v z$ G! [/ q6 S- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
+ ~, ^' ~1 t# R& L/ }3 M- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
, e3 |1 i' ~0 j: z% B4 ^- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
4 ?( ~; L. ?- n0 h- T) p6 v- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members/ ` z. r; O& d; ^5 E
- update ASSIST website+ d5 d, k1 I3 I9 [; r& |
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% a4 C) ?* X) ]9 m* ~9 |% }& ]( z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
, X& K! d9 n1 t }$ P+ _+ L6 Z- assist in writing proposal for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team2 k N9 C% i% ^8 U4 i* ]
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time6 A( O/ @ v% B. N
- update membership database

Qualifications
8 {0 j2 R- L* F5 M; r2 P0 B' Q- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
3 I' U. {, Q8 \% L- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
- W. E3 b! f6 Z1 k5 m$ S9 h- experience in community work and immigrant services% g- D: ^6 y3 p8 h+ @8 D; z3 ?
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset6 e4 b7 W( ]% u/ g& ?% Z B# s
