- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
6 T2 S& a/ B" x! u4 E3 K- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
* [* h g. ^% J* F% Y$ B0 Y- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- ^0 \4 M9 \" r6 k, e l/ Q- post secondary diploma
) h! u8 M, t1 Y2 v/ O) _# c7 d6 o+ R- customer service and office clerical experiences# { W+ {. q$ p" [& W9 i8 \, S) w
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset0 g7 S. _9 q0 [) ^

7 D; F3 K0 E3 `; q& D: o- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services; w" ~( _ ?" G$ ]' \! d
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
' n2 `, l% D! U0 D1 W' W- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies- p$ M2 q& `$ o8 h8 j6 @& g
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members% S) p8 S8 T& e7 k
- update ASSIST website
' M% m G. T0 Z) G/ w" T* i7 R I- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
+ t: E! |$ C) ]& R4 d' \- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services% H$ N) }+ [0 ?5 |9 `
- assist in writing proposal for ISP# U1 f, }( I4 G4 i: G
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP4 t2 B4 m [1 u; O* v
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
6 V' A4 {$ B8 L. j5 w5 d- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

1 W$ f' w4 b" Y8 s" R: H- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

# B- d* m* }8 E1 X3 RQualifications
% p ^5 w& Y- k5 W- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education , `& w, o6 [8 N8 y X
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: k3 i7 I6 v% t' o( d I- experience in community work and immigrant services: Z; h% z9 \$ I6 |! h6 D+ f
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
- G, @: v) l1 o6 |! H# e% v0 n( J# O3 b
