- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.9 U- L9 B$ }$ ?
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

Position title: Community Development Worker

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community8 c. B* y0 A' F& r/ P B
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services3 O, {: z4 C1 {% Y6 L! W. g
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services8 |' y$ P. u- g: g5 L+ }7 L
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
d" [2 p- l" A$ K- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
8 f k+ l! b/ C- update ASSIST website, |* U0 k9 E- b7 {9 Y( Z
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 P% T+ I3 e. D- e7 m- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services/ W' ?& U# {! @
- assist in writing proposal for ISP: F& t4 }& w3 H6 ~4 `/ S
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
1 z0 Z7 Y: A S$ y9 h( K, R- hold regular meetings with ISP team6 @8 p1 e; \8 K0 i9 f
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
9 H! d/ p5 s9 ~0 k3 J: }- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
& H! ^/ ?* e; N4 \- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 A7 h* X: e4 s( S8 f4 @3 o- experience in community work and immigrant services. f" ^. W1 m2 v0 Y" @' ^3 S
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
