Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.0 M& i: ]/ ^5 x$ O3 B
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker

- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
. S9 J1 ~7 M# G. P- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) t. K' L3 b' s- p" Y3 `+ w
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
5 k. }6 `, ~, X- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
" q9 n( J' v7 i% T4 V- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 \3 F% i [1 ]6 o+ {9 P
- update ASSIST website1 X: n) O+ N/ a6 X# n
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
$ `$ c3 v- w& m4 s' x9 P- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 L' Z. s) v. Z! k7 {6 N- assist in writing proposal for ISP
& A) ~3 y7 X0 G$ s- write quarterly and final reports for ISP$ E7 Q% o$ O; O: g4 y5 ~
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
; L. \" R. N+ J; { |; E) K3 [- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

9 E( G! ]% S- uQualifications1 ^" Z5 S% b o: V
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
9 O, Q& r/ y8 ^6 p, i, ?+ k2 N- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: K, k+ z3 A, x* ?: }" j+ K- experience in community work and immigrant services! d0 q9 m# _- k7 R; g
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
