Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.8 @7 B+ c9 e4 a4 @, j
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
1 a q! M0 T$ k, o/ c; y; I- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:$ M' U* _. r- m2 E! n2 ?
- post secondary diploma ]; c' h/ g( a5 X' ]+ b' O. W
- customer service and office clerical experiences
$ F- K3 c9 J3 @! ^- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
7 h7 x" c, M8 \9 C- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
& {3 k7 o# o% y4 d8 O2 G- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
% w0 [2 h0 y9 `7 q. r$ F; i1 {- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
. B1 X' y! \7 d! \& q- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies, k: v' V/ ~5 b& y' d4 L
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
4 u* l: G/ ?8 i# S6 {; X% N- update ASSIST website/ ~# o/ ~! R0 H+ B) } f
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
; t! g6 A6 p( ~0 W, _5 s3 t- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services+ {0 `) `# B$ V1 B) Y- a3 f
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
2 m% P/ `$ s3 \% @- p- write quarterly and final reports for ISP3 ^; A7 U" }. c: n9 a# l" i f
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
: a4 }- f9 ?6 I/ ]/ j3 \- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ A) \4 y: R# z# F: @8 a% ^
- update membership database
! v8 |8 V) Y/ G( b) y3 H- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
1 q2 i6 {3 N2 s/ i- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education % [8 e7 g# X7 x; h
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ [: Q9 I3 U( a. t
- experience in community work and immigrant services
- {- Y9 p5 m5 R/ V* n- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset6 z6 c1 ^: }/ @3 C7 ^( B
