ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
0 _7 l' K# y' fstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

  w9 x) |6 n/ v: I3 Y* \6 s$ |1 mQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
/ [6 a; e4 S' Y# tobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
8 ?% |6 o; j! dsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
