FUNCTIONS:

As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes: O8 @ p( f# R

· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.% S1 R6 |7 x& L) k0 Y* L. n+ s

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.) h9 N# R* Y j

· Performing the regular and customary managerial functions including decisions respecting staff hire/promotion, work assignment, performance appraisal, discipline, and leave/overtime authorization.6 y: K3 e. a Z {; v4 u( s

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.
