First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year

. e: S" b9 |0 G2 T6 TThe Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University9 d. v4 O% T7 \- Q* h' |
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
c* K* F) ~) l8 e! Y eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
% Q% S3 [4 h5 S0 P cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and9 D5 s+ Z! N1 J' k! y* s
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
- b$ D4 A: Y( q. X8 Z- O this broad land.

% ^4 J+ d7 Y9 V( n2 V" CWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to& C. l6 S- F2 E9 ]6 `" K
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and8 E2 d6 \! \- i. H6 |2 c3 I
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in
- Y: w" q. t: g performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
7 [6 t3 e+ h" Z- H, c ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
t2 f- h1 }" y0 B* `5 A( Y/ R9 z: x+ S Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a; }4 v# z( g/ y( Q+ R
lot of fun, like what we did before.

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs
9 ]. N* \. K6 p8 ?( F9 d sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),5 o& ~/ U# w$ v1 v2 X
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
1 d. x/ I4 w1 }- C0 I performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your; F# X) ?6 P0 S! z
program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up" z& \; d0 x1 D
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since8 f, k2 L P- f% K
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively., V) G$ O" h* F) l# n3 F
9 u3 S I- Z7 H0 v# R9 O6 S
Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
8 u( x4 `: n# O+ ?% r* _& ? on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system$ _* g' j: ]7 ?# h1 G+ b
