First call for actors -- CSSA Evening Party for 2008 Chinese New Year; G! d" a2 O& G7 b

The Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at the University: J7 |1 g) L1 h/ w* R) ~/ O6 R/ j4 R
of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the
' @0 @% R9 U- [4 G1 K& d! ^ eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
0 ?3 L% X2 X1 h' W# H- o2 W9 ~/ r cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and+ i( a- P1 w) M3 S1 O
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
% r% c& v+ _& F- g) p this broad land.+ D( } J: q6 J/ ]- O
% b; z+ J! A$ ~; o! ]We encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to
3 _6 E% J! }& P- q2 [! R contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and- Z6 B, ] t+ r
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in. \6 z: O- E9 b5 a
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show: p' ?. M: K4 v
ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in
9 i6 @0 u2 N4 {: H0 k+ ?4 a0 N$ R Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a

As far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs/ j# M/ X) A$ d" p$ {0 ^/ ]
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),0 T5 }/ g7 I" E( x! f$ N
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any
9 u4 V9 M# p c5 d. R' O performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
6 K8 r2 S3 A5 } program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up
^, w, m0 N8 ?' @& x! s comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since. ^5 g# o6 S- ]
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.

Meanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
3 e/ C, X9 T6 A J, R! d! M. J0 P$ f on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system
