3 I; U3 {3 E6 E9 P1 N. i& \# W4 Z) X of Alberta will be holding a Spring Festival Evening Party around the0 L! h1 Z2 R# N3 D( F x
eve of Chinese lunar New Year to add the diverse community Chinese
4 Z! X+ [0 }4 y cultural activities. This event is not only a reminder of food, fun and* s. V" ~; `% T, o* Q/ i+ c- {, q% h! U
customs, but also a very good opportunity to wipe out our homesickness on
! ~4 I- U W# O+ Q8 V1 ] this broad land.
* X8 K' P9 y1 ~$ M) W
2 g6 N) A5 i" M- S7 X3 q2 oWe encourage students and scholars who are interested in performance to0 G: G- z; K. ^) z% f" H* c
contribute to the evening party by showcasing your abilities and/ B7 Y, g0 m5 Y! \
talents. Although we have no luxurious dressings and professional skills in- r/ J( M, B9 h s" {
performing arts, the most critical point we have is our passion to show
/ J$ j/ C$ [/ K; c+ H2 b+ ]! ?9 d9 U ourselves such as any topic related to our life and studies in$ ~8 s3 n# @: B' S. P$ X
Edmonton. Please come and join us to fill up the party. It’s going to be a+ g1 S# Y2 }! o5 D# Y! c% h9 Q+ C
lot of fun, like what we did before.( ^: C% ~. i2 t) _8 v+ E/ D
9 x8 X+ [! l: n; v2 DAs far as your prospective programs are concerned, they can be songs& y1 {/ o1 h. o9 q, r9 P
sung by a single singer or multiple singers, song and dance (Ge Wu),: z* Z) F" \( M2 N, @, j4 K
stand-up comedy (Xiang Sheng), skits (Xiao Pin), drama (Hua Ju) or any7 V% p* }- l0 N7 d" E
performance with instruments (e.g., piano). It would be great if your
6 b2 J6 i# u. Q; n0 `) a program could reflect our society. If you have a play for skits, stand-up3 h# K: O+ |, h9 W' k0 e
comedy or drama to present, please contact CSSA for performance since4 u; o+ i8 ^# J j# I. k- O. d
CSSA executives want to have a show collectively.1 c9 L5 z5 v/ f
/ u1 u: z& G/ N4 v, K0 e- cMeanwhile, a host is needed for the evening party. Volunteers are also
_4 O% ^% R: o, {$ p, t( w on demand to work on the stage to assist lighting and audio system" m5 o1 Z, e u0 r1 `
control.
