Board
•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
8 p; y& ^" I2 R" f, U" T/ }; Y- ]•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable for effective administration of agency

1 R# D1 {" j! k  n•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
, L  u$ r; {' U& m# m•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

' A" g1 V- u! o8 v. L•        meet with staff on regular basis
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
2 {& E) |4 |5 j+ t: f. Z•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
•        set program priorities and directions
0 e) q5 Q+ M4 |8 U+ M( I•        identify community and user needs and trends
( w! P" E# e+ r, B•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
( D. [" q- i4 U2 Y•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

7 ~, x5 I7 z  }3 ^9 L; G2 MExternal Relations
•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
•        identify community needs and trends
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
/ r; q' s  C& a2 K•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
1 Z1 n0 B6 t: I7 f•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

9 z) X+ D- y5 p% {9 W7 vQualifications
-        University degree in a related field;
2 D% @; h! n6 ~-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

7 i5 I: M- [1 ^- o  F3 [/ H; [( K-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
