• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• meet with staff on regular basis

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities" H% x7 \$ N2 U3 ^0 p9 Z- a( P" J) C
• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public6 x2 `8 D% h- Q- I) s$ L
• identify community needs and trends
0 ?3 X+ h5 N% d9 J" @• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
+ x5 M' u* {3 Z" @4 i& A• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
" Q4 ? F) A/ E4 F' R( Q• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.; `1 [5 ]2 N/ u6 s
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff0 ^3 u7 Q# u c' i5 |# O3 l

Qualifications& T6 z* d) d6 Z/ e9 K# d9 Q5 |
- University degree in a related field; 8 V$ W7 s( S6 J+ e) c/ T" R1 d
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;' V% W; P, O! T7 t4 w* }
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; % {/ n% R# d P
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization $ M1 P" H$ @0 y+ H" p1 _& U
$ Z" Y5 L* I! }+ ~* o! u/ L+ }4 k* k
Salary3 o+ |$ E5 Q" a. M2 K
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
