Senior Agency/Program Manager

Board
# T, z& p8 A# s+ l; F* j•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
0 @, @- x$ y1 b. h•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals$ D. q; }5 N4 \$ o# G
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board2 d$ B1 L) y5 f2 }
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements : @$ L3 R# o. c1 b
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
/ n2 V* x) i2 l' {& ^' X•        development and management of the programs budget
; m/ q: u3 o# y$ G) M) H•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

8 }, `1 X. \5 l5 s+ H6 M•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff5 q& P7 i) W, z7 c) r
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers1 ^( }0 y0 x& ?" }
•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
0 \* i, c! P/ Q, v( S' [+ e0 h•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
/ m: M; f% h+ d•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth# j$ ~- d" q" H) D3 B/ W* H5 Q7 n
•        meet with staff on regular basis
4 F& C1 u/ @0 r5 q& Y•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services7 Q: d% ?; P: K7 t3 I$ u
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
7 G$ [9 }; u1 u5 w4 p5 X•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
( I8 l7 g6 R5 @, l! s! |•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
5 s, e' D$ J" a•        set program priorities and directions
5 e1 _) \4 w4 v1 b/ x; P4 |: r! d•        identify community and user needs and trends
* ^2 ^, k& g# J0 J3 `4 g•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends3 V5 ^' C  f! ?' A
•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research; T$ `" n7 _9 I' W, ~- B
•        maintenance of appropriate reporting  B9 `1 o2 M. o1 I  D5 d2 Y6 A0 j
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
- I6 y+ {, C4 \# j' T1 ~•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
; ^  y- e& Y* U' P" q% {. r•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others
% G5 \2 U/ N6 U+ \, X: g+ H  ]. d' `7 I' z6 Z2 s- y$ P2 m$ U
External Relations
7 a( t; O7 v; }6 _% N$ k) H•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities! c/ b& ]. p5 x& W/ Y/ W
•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
" n) G4 k; H: f# f5 C4 z- _8 @•        communicate the value of the organization to the public# y' X2 J, [( z3 i5 q
•        identify community needs and trends1 p+ D. V; P0 _8 m2 M
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
. H7 i) g& X9 y. `•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
- E) Z) i1 ^) S% |! ^•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.* K1 ~/ {7 S$ ~1 W8 E2 m
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff, o2 y2 D) K9 s3 |. C# h

; r( t0 L& @3 x3 o8 m2 IQualifications
4 l$ t. D2 X" O-        University degree in a related field;
. U9 G* M* k" v. `/ L6 h-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
: @' x; |# o' {& U-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
& P$ t7 b1 j/ a. T, d-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
2 K$ [3 R+ V$ `" I/ D* _( ~9 k, S2 Q( a
* f, j2 X1 O& J% i& z: m3 c- [Salary8 d9 i. p: h0 T$ H2 V+ l0 d
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits + I; v9 t+ k! S
