Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

Hi there,

My mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

3 F( X1 d+ ^( X' p+ D& a  z) i" f, a1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

( T: X+ j9 S9 ~2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
