About background check

My case:

; c: ?3 A* q) n; dI sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

' V. p; N$ g! f6 f! J) e. s"We have requested background information from other government
offices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
; p2 b% h% r9 i/ nof your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
4 ?0 N$ o+ z6 j3 ]1 I# u( mthe status of your application before this information is received."
- t7 |1 z0 Z  _# R
5 h$ u1 d" W' S2 s" x/ g6 ODoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。

不一定就是背景调查，　也可能是查再加拿大有无犯罪记录什么的，不用担心。
