About background check

My case:

- p- h) X, V% ]$ C* w+ ^I sent an email to CIC buffalo yesterday inquiring about my case and got the reply:

"We have requested background information from other government
7 _# y4 ^0 z1 ]4 J0 Y1 @# l1 B# k, e. `offices(s).  Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing
9 N+ @$ e1 c) C! j  y* k' Zof your application will be complete.  We cannot respond to requests for
% a5 `* s; S! j3 K7 ithe status of your application before this information is received."
) x3 K2 D9 O/ C$ B0 B
4 z9 ]$ Q3 [, o8 t, X3 lDoes this mean I am undergoing background check? Is it a normal BC and security background check(SBC)? Anybody has idea about how long it is gonna take? Thank you!

本人也不幸在被调查中...

不用太担心，他们的回复都是同一格式，不代表一定在作背景调查。我也收到过这样的回复，后来request了一个CAIPS NOTES，发现是不知为什么我老婆得Medical Examinaion的结果他们一直没收到。现在我们就要landing了。你也可以request一个CAIPS NOTES，看看到底是怎么回事。
