increases the tuition fee by few percent every year and international

the fact that the university housing has no more space for newcomers

' J8 G, F( e8 k$ N5 P1 @asked to look for a residence on open market.

While the average cost of living for a typical graduate student has / U+ `2 j/ n( \" [! R
increased by something more than 70% percent we are getting paid
: }. n R3 Q4 X6 p5 ?; N2 N2 xexactly for the same amount of money that we were offered in our , a7 N+ r9 D- D4 P
admission letter (18000 CAD + 1500 CAD for international students 3 f5 [5 c) k7 X# b. b6 f
=19500CAD. What I get is something around 1000CAD/month!!! after
% k* j' @) [6 E( d9 k" o" {: [& Utuition fee and taxes). To make the argument easy to understand just 8 c$ q) l4 w# y1 L) n# \
imagine that a new student gets the same amount of money that I am
, M- K+ j/ U7 o6 @$ Lgetting now and I was getting 3 years ago but he or she (like all of / M6 Q7 ]/ E9 q* E" l* ^" J x
us) has to pay twice as much as I was paying for housing when I was \ W5 O8 H6 W) G4 }6 X' Q- C
admitted and has to incur at least 70% more in average living costs.

initiative in raising the issue of increasing financial aid for
/ p6 M) A; ^4 T$ ]2 l jgraduate students so that the can afford this increase in costs?- `; h0 ?* \8 H* x: ~
